Mountbatten

I never got to know Mountbatten as well as I did New Zepler, but I shall miss it. When I first heard the news, I imagined the portrait of Eric Zepler with smoke swirling around it, but when I saw the remains of the blackened shell that was Mountbatten near to the still mainly white New Zepler, that was when I felt sad.

Yup, 'tis a sad week for $50 million worth of optoelectronics.
For the sake of photograph material, I've been told that the view from the top floor of the Maths building is pretty good - a bunch of us from Physics are going to head up there tomorrow lunchtime and see what it's like.
