Hastings Country Park
May. 23rd, 2012 10:12 pmI walked across the cliff-tops, past the bluebells, aquilegia, wild garlic, campion, gorse, red beetles, yellow nettles, ferns, streams, and rabbits, and peered down at the ocean below. (I also got burnt by the sun, covered in mud, and got fed up of the flies.)
The East Hill Lift (funicular railway) took me down into Hastings itself, and then I visited the Shipwreck Museum, which had details of the Amsterdam shipwreck in Bulverhythe and others.

Date: 2012-05-23 09:35 pm (UTC)Anyway, I tried to see the shipwreck later that day, the Amsterdam, but it is only really visible every month or so, and it wasn't one of those times, but I could see bits poking up, in approximately the right place, but I am not sure if it was actually the shipwreck or rocks or prehistoric forests. I will have to go back there again on a day when it is actually visible.
I do not know Simon and Garfunkel's Cecilia, but I have a persona named Cecilia. She is retired, lives on the Isle of Man and likes to travel in space in her spare time. That's all I remember.
