Rainbow Serpent Festival
Jan. 26th, 2009 09:47 pmThe first night at Rainbow Serpent, we wandered through a field of plants, away from the market stage, and saw a laptop lying there, and in the distance, a strange geometric-shaped tent, with projections all over it, of shapes moving, and we watched it for a while, in between gazing at the stars. That night people danced in the tent, but other nights people just sat there and listened to the experimental music that was playing, watching the patterns appear and disappear, as well as the silhouettes of the other people that were there.
We wandered past the Barbies in a cage hanging in a tree, the carpet-covered egg that played music when it swung with people inside it, the fluffy mailbox at the edge of the dance-floor, the people dressed as crabs, teenage mutant ninja turtles, lego men, and the person with a plant pot on their head, and all the many many people with tails, and past the stall selling goggles with anime characters on them, and near to the clown holding the skipping rope for the angel to jump over, and near to the inflatable pirate ship, we danced in the sunshine, underneath the sprinklers.
