Rum clouds and salmon braille
Nov. 7th, 2005 08:01 pmIt was the first time since the changing of the clocks that I had walked home from work in the dark and I felt somehow excited, as if anything was possible when the daylight was gone. I thought I could see salmon clouds, but they were paler than that and the sky wasn't really as dark as I had originally thought. I imagined the lights of the city going off and how it would be then that I would reach for the bottle of rum that has a label on it written in braille. I followed the thin twist of a moon back to my flat after that and the light in the lift started to flicker.
