A while ago, I realised that the whole of this journal is simply an analogy for: a concrete fence post.

That was really good! I especially loved the paragraph about story endings; I'm really interested in transience and beginnings/endings (where does childhood end? What exact moment does it go forever? etc.) and I keep wanting to write a pretentious essay about it (http://www.livejournal.com/users/robotron_5000/158599.html). I'll have to remember this story for inspiration :-)
