Four leaf clover
Yesterday, I searched for Project Cell Space on Cambridge Heath Road, London, EC2, trying to reach the Cloverfield exhibition. Four leaf clovers are cloned and grown as part of the project and people's tales about clover are collected on clover-shaped post-it notes. They also distribute four leaf clovers by leaving them in places (such as on trains) for people to find and also by selling them online. It may not seem quite the same as spending hours scouring patches of clover for mutants, but hey, it may not be any less lucky.

i can count on you for the most poetical posts.

i found my 1st (and only) 4-leaf clover when i was
about 10, in my own backyard. it's saved in my childhood
jewelry box, pressed against a JFK $1 coin in a plastic case.

i rc'vd my 2nd 4-leaf clover last year, from a student,
on our final school retreat. she found it on the retreat
grounds and wanted me to have it.

"hope, faith, love, and luck."

i imagined it was something like that :)

i saw FINIAN'S RAINBOW last week and i'm still waiting
to meet a leprechaun. not the horror movie kind, but
the kind in the musical play, who is a kind of fun loving
faerie creature who dances around and then desires to be
human *just to love you* MORE THAN ANYTHING.

i guess i'll be waiting awhile.

I remember finding two four leaf clovers during my childhood, but I do not know what happened to them or if they were entirely imaginary.

I think I met one of those leprechauns last week, but it scared me because maybe I wanted to be him.

Sorry to be pain, but what if these four leaf clovers go wild? Are we going to see the end of three leafs?! Will three leafs become the lucky ones?

Oh how my mind wonders...

It seems unlikely that they will go wild, since they are grown under controlled circumstances, but yes, if that did happen, 3-leaf clovers may well be lucky, if they aren't already. I suspect they already are though.

if the 4 leaf clover did escape i doubt it would be the end of the 3 leaf variaty. in order for this to happen it would have to have a selective advantage over the 3 leaf type. as the 4leaf occurs naturally in the wild anyway, and hasnt taken over the world yet, i doubt a few escaped 4leafs would cause much damage.
