Time travel

Determined to find something magical on a gloomy day in London, on Saturday I visited Brompton Cemetery. Not an obvious choice for cheer, but I was there to look for Hannah Courtoy’s mausoleum, rumoured to contain a time machine.

Joggers and crows and dogs passed me, and then I found the mausoleum. Two people sat on the steps, chatting, and I believe they must have been time travellers.

I hadn't considered it at the time, but now that you mention it, it does seem quite likely that one of them was me.
