What I did in April 2022
Jun. 27th, 2022 03:58 pm
I visited pubs named the King’s Arms in Kennington, Liverpool Street, Wandsworth, Greenwich, Borough, London Bridge and Southwark, and recorded sounds. We even went on a King’s Arms pub crawl one Sunday! It was nice to catch up with friends that joined me in visiting those. I then made a sound art piece with these sounds, so that when you waved your hands over beer mats you heard the sounds from the pubs.
I also continued making tentacles.
I visited the Zabludowicz Collection and saw the Among the Machines exhibition.
I did an Ingress banner around central London with friends visiting from Nottingham.
I visited St Albans and saw my family and beautiful bluebells in a wood, and walked around a maze.
I went to an Ingress Kythera event and then to a pub afterwards, where it was great to chat to people and I had a few drinks and felt like a social butterfly for the first time since the pandemic.
I went to a colleague’s leaving lunch at Unity Diner and ate vegan calamari rings.
I visited the village and saw bluebells in the woods. I was shocked to find one of the woods had mostly all been cut down and was barely looking like a wood at all anymore.
I went to the Sweep’s Festival in Rochester and watched Morris dancers and people dressed as chimney sweeps.
I went to a house party for the first time since the pandemic!
I visited Reading and ate Naughty flavoured ice-cream and walked around the city and did an Ingress banner. I also visited the Reading Museum and saw a variety of biscuits and a replica of the Bayeux Tapestry, and visited the abbey ruins and View Island.
I ate hot cross bun flavour ice-cream and damson and sour cream flavour ice-cream.
