Cliffs

April was quite a quiet month after March.

I wandered across cliff tops and walked along the pier in Eastbourne, with my mum.

I ate wild gorse flower chocolate and walked home in the rain, watching the sky brighten when the lightning struck.

I ate a rainbow bagel while wearing a pirate hat in the office.

I listened to a wonderful reading from The Body Library by Jeff Noon at Forbidden Planet and got a book signed by him.

I played unusual games at Now Play This at Somerset House and Experimental Controllers at the Loading Bar - Server.

I went on a tube walk from Seven Sisters to Finsbury Park.

I ate curry in Tooting.

I visited St Albans and saw my family and covered my hands in purple glitter glue and caught bubbles.

I went to Bingo Academy with colleagues and learnt about different kinds of bingo.

I went to [personal profile] doseybat and [personal profile] verazea's party.

I went to Aces and Eights and then Laibela to eat Ethiopian food to celebrate [personal profile] kekhmet's birthday.

I dressed up as a pirate and went to Red's birthday party on a boat. I actually sung a song at normal karaoke! Marioke has made me braver.

I had drinks with web folk at Pub Standards.

I went to the hairdresser for the first time in at least 20 years.

I started watching Aggretsuko.

I tried some food that was new to me: a charcoal croissant and a ruby KitKat.

I randomly bumped into [personal profile] doseybat at a station when I was feeling very sad, and [personal profile] doseybat convinced me to go to a cafe and cheered me up. London is small really.

I carried a Christmas tree box around with me one night. Many people wished me a Merry Christmas. Probably more than if I was carrying it in December.

Ingress:

April involved quite a lot of walking: I did the HMS Belfast banner, Twickenham Swirls, Tower Bridge at night, Banana Pulp and the Catford Run banners. I also did the Harry Potter banner at King's Cross and played on the swing there.

I did the Enlighten you I will banner and wandered around Peckham and Nunhead, and then had drinks in Nunhead. I also visited the South London Gallery while doing this banner and stared at strange objects, and also saw a blue plaque at Enid Blyton’s birthplace.

I went for drinks at the Dickens Inn one Friday and wandered around St Katharine Dock.

Quite a lot of April was spent working on and thinking about the Schloss Kaltenberg project, wiring up Arduinos to bubble machines, painting wood with chalkboard paint, and so on.
