Pigeon

The train carriage is empty apart from a woman and a pigeon.

"This is your stop," she says at Kew Gardens, and the pigeon leaves the train.

Yesterday, she met another pigeon on a train and followed the pigeon for a while, before opening the door so the pigeon could get off the train, which the pigeon did, but then promptly got onto another train on the other side of the platform.

I thought pigeons on trains were mostly something that happened in 253 (this passenger: http://www.ryman-novel.com/car4/121.htm), but this is the second time in two weeks. I wonder where the pigeons are going.
