Great Trees of London

I'm trying to visit all of the trees in Time Out's The Great Trees of London and so far have attempted to visit three.

The Berkeley Plane:


The Dorchester Plane:


I also visited the St James's Indian Bean Tree, but it had been cut down.

Maybe this would be a more sensible thing to do at a different time of the year.

If there were a Great Trees of Chicago, i'd make the same quest.

As you seem to move around the country a lot, you might also try Meetings with Remarkable Trees. Which you probably know about, come to think of it...

We have some cool London Plane trees here on the UC Berkeley campus. The are pollarded though, so they don't grow too much. http://newscenter.berkeley.edu/2011/12/14/campus-tree-pollarding/

Looks like the one you found is much larger!
