The apocalypse happened again that night. It seems to happen more frequently these days, but this time it was at the Tate Britain and I was at a NaNoWriMo write-in. I was distracted from writing by a man wearing a shiny suit, shouting "Is this how it ends?" and Madigan Shive playing the cello, singing about saving dragons.

Reminds me of a story Thom Yorke once told about The Greatest Party Ever. He was invited anonymously to meet in a barn with a sleeping bag for a night of full on squelch and drills with lights, drugs and costume. He can't remember falling asleep but he was awoken by a man in a gas mask at six in the morning yelling WAKE UP TIME TO DIE through a megaphone.

Of course, he was probably lying, but what a lie to tell.
