squirmeliaAs a child, I occasionally liked the Reader's Digest type books of things to make and do. Now I am older, I have the 101 Experiments in the Philosophy of Everday Life book instead, which is in some way similar.
My plan for 23: "Dread the arrival of the bus" was thwarted by the bus actually being on time, which meant there was not enough time to dread the bus arriving. Instead I attempted 16: "Dream of all the places in the world."
It started with me imagining deserts, and ended with walking through the frosted car-parks, leaving footprints, and then looking back at those footprints and wondering how many other people were looking back at their footprints also.
That evening, I attempted 23 again. I waited at the cold bus-stop, and it was really tempting to want the bus to arrive, but I tried to make myself not want that all. The most convincing reason I found was that the driver might be a monster with big bulging orange eyes and the floor of the bus might be made of quicksand.
