I made sweet potato crêpes with tamarind & coriander sauce yesterday, from Vegan with a Vengeance, and they were tasty.

I have also made the gingerbread apple pie, the scrambled tofu, and some chocolate chip cookies from the book. May have to return it to the (children's) library soon. Anyone made anything from it that was particularly awesome that I should try?

I make the thing with the potatoes, beans, maple syrup, mustard and soy sauce now and then. It's very tasty and I'd make it more often if the amount of salt and sugar in it didn't make it a surprisingly unhealthy way to eat vegetables.

I think I made the cherry and almond cupcakes, too, and they weren't bad.

Yeah, the recipes are often quite unhealthy! Mostly tasty though. Maybe I should actually look in the Japanese cookbook I got from the library too before I need to return it- probably healthier, but less vegetarian things.

I will look up the potato/bean thing when I get home. Thanks for the suggestion.

!!! Scrambled tofu! My mouth is watering at the sound of that. And also the sweet potato crepes! I hope this book is available in the US.

I found the scrambled tofu a bit ordinary, but the sweet potato crepes were great!

The book is American, so probably easier to find the ingredients there than here.
