I tried making an LED jellyfish using the instructions at Instructables: LED-Jellies. It needs a bit more work, but hey, it glows, and has taken over the world, as demonstrated in this photo.
10 LEDs (of the 5mm, blue and diffused variety) for 2.24 (including postage). 10 Rare Earth Magnets (10mm x 1mm) for 2.78 (including postage). 5 CR1616 batteries for 1.47 (including postage).
(My jellyfish only currently has 1 LED and 1 battery in it, so I may end up making some more throwies with the rest).
