Other and Over

I often seem to get confused with the words "other" and "over". I know what the meaning of both is, and I never actually confuse the meanings, it's just when I go to write one of them, I often write the other by mistake.

Sometimes I like this, because then things are never actually "over", they are just "other" instead.

Out of my window I can see several nearly-naked trees with only a teasingly scanty covering of dripping wet leaves betwixt them and complete exposure. Not like those prudish evergreens.

Orkney is somewhat lacking in trees*. Will naked grass do?

*Actually, I tell a lie. I live within a small copse which surrounds the house. I've had a chat with them and we've agreed to get naked later on when darkness sets.
