My mum and I wandered across the fields, and a butterfly landed on me as I watched clouds create shadows on the sides of the valley. We tried to make our way through the brambles and I ate a not quite ripe blackberry, and a cherry plum, stolen from a tree. The swings beckoned after that, so we both swung for a while, worried the swings would break, but they didn't, and I'm glad they didn't.

Cherry plum, is that one of those dark red fruits off the tree with the leaves the same colour? What do they taste like?

I wasn't sure what it was, and my mum shouted "poison!" and tried to stop me from eating it. It looked like a cherry, but tasted like a plum, and we looked up the leaf in a book and mostly concluded it had leaves that fitted with it being a cherry plum, so figured it must be that. If you have any other ideas though, I'd be glad to know. :)
