I was on Monochrome BBS when it happened
Mar. 3rd, 2003 09:14 amI'd just written an edit in my diary, and was then looking at the Users On screen. I started to write a message to someone, when the monitor started to melt, and I thrashed my fingers harder and faster than ever before on the keyboard, knowing the urgency, as the plastic keys melted
into my precious fingertips. My fingerprints were becoming the same as the letters on the keys. It was as if I was typing in very hot glue, my fingers sticking and it became increasingly difficult to type, but I kept on typing, determined to write what was happening, as it was happening.
The power went out just before I finished, so the person I wrote the message to never got it, and will never know my last words, or even that I cared to share my last words with them.
