Fictional B&Bs, brown stripes and reality denial

Today, I was planning to check out of the fictional B&B I've been staying in, but that wasn't possible, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow.

Term started again and I found myself sitting in another basement lecture theatre. This one had brown stripes and aeroplane-style flip-out tables, but they were wooden and not designed to hold coffee. The lecturer spoke about denying the reality of the external world.
