That's a very nice picture - something of the early-morning stillness of Wyeth about it (if Wyeth is who I'm thinking of - Hopper did a few things like that too, though his main milieu was more urban).

That's not a bale where I live! :) It's a hay roll. A bale is something cubical (well, in a rectangular sort of way) that I had to lift and throw around every summer from when I was about 12 until I left home.

my aunt had ones that were small and rectanguar
6 stacked would be the height of me

I cannot wait to meet up w/ you and talk for hours oh a haybale or not jjust stay up all night chatting as I will be well when I come to the UK and not all sicky like I was for Van in a Van and needed sleep and 1/2 crashing on the couch
