Chandeliers
Oct. 18th, 2006 01:52 pmOn June 22nd, 1975 at 15:00 in Hill Lane, Southampton, Monty Warlock saw what "looked for all the world like a glass chandelier hanging in the sky". (According to UFOs over Hampshire and the Isle of Wight by Robert Price).
More than 30 years later, I walked up Hill Lane (as I am prone to do when returning from bouts of train travel), looking for UFOs and signs of anything unusual. I saw silvery roadside debris, strange faces drawn onto Lucy boxes, fungi behind wire fences and a sign that said "Warning. Site trance", but unfortunately nothing resembling a chandelier. I'll walk up Hill Lane again soon though, I know, and when I do, I'll gaze at the sky for a just a little bit longer than previously.
