Whistling Sands

A little girl turned back towards the beach she had been playing on and wished it farewell. "Goodbye Whistling Sands. We know that you whistle."

I was just about to step onto that beach at Porth Oer and wasn't sure how the whistling would sound. I found that it was more like a squeaking of sand, as I shuffled my feet and gently kicked the sand. Odd though.

The Whistling Sands can be found at Porth Oer on the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales.
