Moving away from the trophies
Aug. 19th, 2004 12:06 amI am moving again this week, and until today, if asked about fond memories of here, I tended to draw a blank.
Today, I climbed up to the loft, where I had not been for a while, and suddenly nostalgia hit. I remembered waving the pole at the ceiling and swiftly pulling the ladder down, and all the people who had climbed up it with me and sat amongst the trophies. I remembered the times we'd had up in that loft, and those are my memories of this place. They will be what I remember.

Moving can be a real pain.

Date: 2004-08-23 01:41 am (UTC)The trophies were in the loft when I moved in - Bevois Valley Darts Champion 1989, that kind of thing. Not ones I collected over time, or won, but I suspect a previous occupant of the loft had won them many years ago.
I will have no net connection at home for 3 weeks, which is already starting to get to me.
