What I did in April 2023

In Greenwich, a friend and I walked down the tulip staircase in the Queen's House, squeezed through a hedge to see Queen Caroline's Bath, took notice of the public standards of length and stood where a Romano-Celtic temple once was.

I went to a Morris dancing workshop with Boss Morris and learnt to Morris dance.

obandsoller and I played games at Now Play This. The one where you went to a nightclub was a bit disturbing, but the one where you had to be at the screen at a certain time was quite nice. I ate some espresso butter on toast with my avocado.

I visited St Albans and watched my brother and sister-in-law run in a race and admired the medals my niblings got from the races they ran in also. We walked around the maze, played with a diablo and played football.

tackline and I ate pizza at Franco Manca.

I visited Eynsford and walked in the fields and peered at the mounds in the football field where the archeologists were digging.

My mum and I walked around Jubilee Country Park in Bickley while I did an Ingress banner on Second Sunday.

At Waterloo Station I looked at Landscape Photographer of the Year photos which were displayed in the concourse.

I did a tedious Ingress banner on Three Mills Island and walked past Abbey Mills Pumping Station.

I saw some beautiful art made from books at the October Gallery.

I did an Ingress banner in Walthamstow.

I saw strange forms in the White Cube, which I quite liked, and laid on an uncomfortable wooden rocking piece.

One evening I went to Ealing and played Ingress with some other players and we walked around in the dark as that was when it had stopped raining.

I saw a giant inflatable robotic slug outside the British Library, which children were delighted by.

I saw railings made out of old stretchers. I have been looking at Atlas Obscura recently and found there are still more things in London to see, even if sometimes they are railings.

I visited Eynsford and saw the listed electrical box.

I went to Rochester and watched many Morris dancers at the Sweeps Festival. I also walked across the bridge to Strood.

I walked through the woods in awe of the bluebells. Such beautiful bluebells and smelling wonderful too.

I went to the private view of the sound art exhibition at Morley Gallery (where I exhibited last year), and met up with some of my former classmates and afterwards, we went to Iklectik and saw some sound art performances.

I did not quite manage to time travel, but I did visit Hannah Courtoy's mausoleum in Brompton Cemetery, which is rumoured to contain a time machine.

I hope there are many more adventures to come which aren't necessarily just looking at railings! Glad you gave Now Play This another go and some of it was enjoyable.

Ha, yes, hopefully there are many more adventures! Always more to see in London.
