I didn't want to wash my hair this morning, worried that the fragrance of the shampoo would swamp my hair and people would assume I was a Strawberry Shortcake doll.
On the way home from work yesterday a girl sat down next to me on the train, flinging her hair past me as she whirled into the seat. Her had a very strong smell which i suppose i might describe as pleasant, not because i personally found the scent pleasant but because that is how it is meant to be thought of.
I once got whacked in the face by some hair at the Nexus. It was sweaty and smelled of smoke. I had to do everything within my power to avoid throwing up.
I started using Orange Vosene once, around the same time I got told that one of the signs of an impending brain haemmorage is an unexplained scent of oranges. Wasn't good for my hypochondria.
I can no longer use lemon after reading Infinite Jest, because of the scenes where they smear their bodies with Lemon Pledge. If I put lemon shampoo on my hair, I think it is that.
I've been whacked in the face by people's hair at clubs as well, pretty scary. I've probably been a culprit of it too, although by mistake, and I try not to do it. Some of those clubs can get quite smokey, and even after shampooing the smell doesn't always seem to go.
No. i'm really not very good with smells, for the most part. And besides, i'm sure she can't be the only person to use that particular brand of shampoo.
