What I did in July 2018
Aug. 20th, 2018 04:19 pm
I went on holiday to Warsaw and wandered around the old town, ate cedar flavour ice-cream, went to quite a few vegan restaurants, visited the Neon Museum and saw lots of large signs that once adorned libraries, hotels and restaurants. I also visited the Gasworks Museum and saw old gas meters, ovens, and gas lamps. I admired the views from the Palace of Culture and Science.
I also saw the blood moon while in Warsaw!
While in London, I visited the ice-cream museum, ate horseradish ice-cream, saw my brainwaves after eating ice-cream, smelt different ice-cream flavours, saw lots of penny licks and read about the history of ice-cream, ate faintly glowing ice-cream, looked at ice-cream related postcards, ate daffodil flavoured ice-cream and some other unusual flavours.
I went on a tube walk from Shepherd's Bush Market to Wood Lane.
I saw Godspeed You Black Emperor! perform with the Monumental dance performance, which also had text by Jenny Holzer accompanying it.
I saw Pin Cushion at the cinema with
I visited the BT Archives and saw an old wooden phone box, old advertising posters and menus, and old phone books.
I went to Ramsgate and swam in the sea.
I visited the Photographer's Gallery and saw Alex Prager: Silver Lake Drive ad Tish Murtha: Works 1976 - 1991.
I ate popcorn flavour ice-cream.
I went to see sculptures that were part of the Sculpture in the City. The one I particularly liked was rather spooky and down an alleyway.
I visited the Gasworks and saw Evan Ifekoya: Ritual without Belief, and in the Hayward Gallery, I saw work by Lee Bul.

I went to Warsaw for an Anomaly! I also did Mission Day and led a team for Operation Clear Field and we had a lot of fun, taking photos of little cuties and demonstrating our hidden talents.
I did the Isle of Frogs banner, the NL1331 – St Katharine's Dock banner, the Riddle Me This banner, On the Road Again banner, XMDV banner, the Akwarelowa Warszawa banner, and the Royal Castle in Warsaw banner.
The NL-1331 van came to London, so we all stared at the van and then had drinks on Clapham Common after that.
I went to weekly drinks near London Bridge and coffee in Trafalgar Square and also drinks at the Whippet and the Eagle.
The Enlightened Summer BBQ also happened and food was eaten and drinks were drunk and Enlightened bunting was hung.

Date: 2018-08-28 06:40 pm (UTC)I have had even more disappointing ice-cream this week though - unicorn flavour! Looked pretty, but tasted awful. Perhaps I should go back to more usual flavours.
