I stared at a billboard:

I had fun in Croydon at Croydon Fun Weekend, run by [livejournal.com profile] nou. I survived as a tailor in post apocalyptic Croydon and found some useful rags. I ate some vegan toffee apple cake, peered at strange vegetables in the market, watched [livejournal.com profile] doseybat carrying sugar cane, and ate delicious food. I stared out at the good views from the car park, mistakenly opened an alarmed door door, circled the 50p building taking photos, travelled by tram, and went on a pub crawl. I saw drawings by an artist who draws in his sleep. I walked past pylons, gas works, the River Wandle, Croydon Palace, and a tree with shoes in it.

I listened to a talk about predicting the future at the Interaction Design Association (IxDA) meet up.

I spent January being vegan.

I met up with some Linux users at the Greater London Linux User Group at Ye Olde Cock Tavern.

I stared up at stalactites on platform 19 at Victoria Station.

I wandered around Tonbridge Park, and past Tonbridge Castle.

I drank a rosemary mojito at Benugo.

I used Google Cardboard. Virtual reality rollercoaster!

I 3D printed a glow in the dark Mandelbrot shape and some space invaders at the London Hackspace.

I stuck many stickers for the SFZero task Digital -> Analogue.

One Saturday, I wandered around a maze of Christmas trees, looked at illuminated signs that said "Open" and "Internet" in the End User exhibition at the Hayward, saw giant rabbits glowing in the Royal Festival Hall, and watched people dance in the graffitied tunnels of Leake Street.

One Saturday, at Canary Wharf, I flapped my wings, my digitally generated wings that appeared behind me in white pixels. I stared at glowing dresses and a glowing deer in the park. I looked into the water and saw a glowing hole that looked like it went down really really far. I watched as [livejournal.com profile] deathboy was turned into a creepy bat creature who had his face, flying around a sphere. I touched a wall of lights that went on when I got near to each one. I walked over a bridge, lit up with pink and blue, and smoking as I walked over it.

One Sunday, I walked past the pelicans in St James's Park and then went to the Churchill War Rooms. I wandered around the bunker where Churchill and the cabinet worked from, and looked at old telephones and signs that said "Fine & Warm" and an Enigma machine. I visited St Martin-in-the-Fields after that, and looked around the crypt and saw the statue of Henry Croft, the original pearly king.

I wandered around the National Portrait Gallery and looked at the Grayson Perry exhibition, Who Are You?

I caught the tram through the snow in Nottingham, and one evening wandered into a courtyard and up some stairs, into a cafe where I ate tofu steak and chocolate torte and drank a raspberry and mint julep. I visited ShakeAway and drank a dairy free maple syrup shake. That night I stayed in a hotel with silver and blue corridors and views of a multi-storey car park.
