Had a fantastic time at Loncon 3 (science fiction convention)! Listened to excellent readings by Cory Doctorow, Peter Morrison, Charles Stross, Catherynne M Valente. Saw an amusing talk on German sci-fi and watched the panelists dancing the Galyxo. Saw various panels on games - love in games (such as pigeon dating simulator Hatoful Boyfriend), point and click adventures (panel title: a rubber chicken on a pulley), LGBTQ gaming, using the past in games (such as Civ). Made an alien head from modelling clay. Listened to talks on women and time travel, architecture and sci fi, music of the future, Pygmalion's statue and her synthetic sisters. (Lars and the Real Girl for example). Saw many wonderful people, some of whom I hadn't seen for years. Saw a model of a post apocalyptic Peckham car-park, a pigeon flight simulator, many great costumes, and many other excellent talks and things and people.

Oh! We were in the same room and I didn't notice! (I also went to the Charles Stross reading.) I'm sorry!

That all looks really interesting. Must try and go next year. (Hoping it doesn't clash with a classical guitar event I intend to attend...)

I enjoyed the Stross reading, but unfortunately keep imagining the floating Boris!

I failed to spot many people, it seems.

Hope you enjoyed Loncon also.

Alas, it is in Spokane next year! Eastercon and Nine Worlds will both be on in London though.

I didn't see you and I went to a completely different set of panels, and now I want to go again!

Yes, it's one of his more horrific images.

I thought I caught a glimpse of you at one point, but alas, you were quite far away at the time.

Hope you had fun there also!

I also want to go again and see all the panels I missed because they were too full, or because I was at work, or because they clashed with other things I was doing, etc!
