The Pig and Whistle

Today I went to a pub! The Pig and Whistle! Unfortunately, the pub was long since abandoned, although was apparently in business around 1891. It is near to Magpie Bottom. There are tales of smugglers, brandy slides and dene holes associated with this area: Dover Kent Archives: Pig and Whistle.
To start with, I followed a route, and then took a detour when I got to Magpie Bottom to try to find the pub:
Kent Walks Near London - Walk 19: Shoreham and Fackenden Down. It was a lovely sunny day when I did this walk and there were great views.
