What I did in October 2019

I went on holiday to Southport with my mum for a few days.

We looked around the art gallery and museum at the Atkinson. I dressed up in an old style scuba diver costume. I ate jammie dodger (“jamie dodger”) flavour ice-cream.

We visited the Lawnmower Museum and danced up the stairs into the museum. We were the only people in the museum, but it was fascinating. Even though I am more familiar with Advanced Lawnmower Simulator than actual lawnmowers, it was still interesting.

I ate cherry cola and irn bru and vimto flavoured ice-creams. I walked along the sandy beach from Ainsdale to Freshfield, peering at the debris left by the tide.. mostly razor shells, some barnacle covered, but I also found a pterodactyl! The sun shone then. I wandered through a pine forest, jumped over puddles, and ate lemon cake. I read Lovecraftian poems to the sea at the end of the pier. It was windy in Southport and the waves were splashing up the sea wall.

I went to St Alban's to celebrate a birthday and had fun making spaceships and playing with a remote controlled car.

I went to Maraoke and sung songs where the lyrics were changed to be about video games.

I saw the stained glass phonebox.

I went to EGX and played Beyond a Steel Sky (Beneath a Steel Sky sequel) and met Charles Cecil and got him to sign a comic. I also played various other games, that I don't remember now.

I went on a tube walk from Star Lane to West Ham. We walked around Cody Dock and saw some of the sculptures that form part of the Line, such as the shopping trolley sculpture. We walked across the Greenway.

I got a tram to Croydon and saw Banksy’s shop and did an Ingress banner and walked in the rain to Addiscombe Railway Park and South Norwood Country Park.

I took a trip to A&E after I got into a fight with a minotaur, and stayed up all night. My head was scanned and my finger too.

I went on a walk from St Paul's to Greenwich for a work event one afternoon.

I went to Leeds for work, swam in a pool, did an Ingress banner and met up with an old friend.
