Wild garlic and drowned forests

Sunday, I visited Saundersfoot and Glen Cove, peered into rock pools at sea anemones and walked through old railway tunnels that would have been used to transport coal. After that, I visited Manorbier, stared up at the castle and wandered on the beach.

Tuesday started with a walk on Castle Beach in Tenby. Then onto Amroth, where I walked over a drowned prehistoric forest, ate crème brûlée ice-cream and found many beautiful sea anemones in the rock pools. After that, I visited Pendine Sands, and walked up onto the rock there and stared down at the sea.

Driving though country lanes or just walking around, the smell of wild garlic drifts through the air.

Cow parsley, bluebells, campian, valerian, thrift, bird's foot trefoil, spring squill.
