I have been wearing my Dad's Nike Fuelband so far this year and achieving the goal set each day. The idea of it is that I get points each day for activity (in my case, so far, this has mostly been walking and dancing around my living room. It's not waterproof enough for swimming, although I did go swimming on Saturday).
When I press a button, it tells me how many points I have and how far I am from the goal. If I have achieved the goal, it then jiggles some pixels and flashes "GOAL".
It is like a bangle and charges via USB. It also communicates with my phone via bluetooth. From looking at the website or app, I can see when I was active, how many steps I've walked, how many calories have been burnt and other such details.
The points seem a bit arbitrary, but never mind. I am so far under the control of the fuelband, and must walk further to keep it happy.
