High Rocks
Dec. 29th, 2011 09:11 amI awoke and watched the clouds moving quickly across the sky.
Later that day, I visited High Rocks and walked on the top of the rocks and across little bridges.
The Devil's Oak can be found at High Rocks. Apparently the devil trapped a maiden's hand in the roots of the oak tree, but luckily she had three drops of water from the wishing well in her hand, so could make a wish. But just as she was about to make the wish, she caught the eye of the handsome youth (the devil) and was then turned into a block of stone, and is still imprisoned in the roots of the Devil's Oak.
