I saw a smooshed up lion today. A bench by the Green, lion shaped and distorted. It didn’t speak to me.

I read Professional Hairdresser magazine, which is more fun to look at than the carp fishing magazine that previously used to get delivered to my house, but I have decided against becoming a hairdresser or a fisherman.

I read Don Norman's Living with Complexity for UX Bookclub, and concluded afterwards that table manners are just another way of seeing the world, like magic, like photography, like knowing what kind of triangle you're looking at, just some extra knowledge. I was particularly intrigued by: "When salt and pepper shakers are put on the table as a pair, the salt shaker is always closest to the entry door to the room." Why is the salt shaker closest to the door, why?
